Our student ministry exists to help our teens become and grow in to mature disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that our teens are not only part of the church of tomorrow, they are part of the church today. That is why we encourage them to find an area of ministry in the church to serve. At Cross Creek Church, there are many opportunities for your teen to be a part of our student ministry.
We meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 for our Sunday School hour to discuss the D6 Lesson for the week. D6 curriculum allows our church members of every age to study the same lesson on their level.
On Wednesday evenings at 7 we have our weekly Bible study. We do studies on different books of the bible, topics found in the Bible, or books written by Christian authors. We welcome teens 7th-12th grade to join us on Wednesday Nights as we study God’s Word.
We are currently studying the life of Jesus Christ according to the gospel of Mark. We have been looking at Jesus Christ and how His life shows us that He really is the King of kings. As we get closer to Easter, we will begin to look at the events that led up to our King’s death and yet His greatest victory!
We teach our teens that Christians are called to show God’s love in a practical way by serving the communities we live in and the world abroad. We have named our outreach ministry I-58, as in Isaiah 58. This chapter talks about how we are called to serve God, and how doing so is a way, in which we worship Him. We have done many acts of service like: walking to raise money for International Missions, helping a new church put on a big event to reach out to their community, and other various services to our community (car washes, passing out water bottles, working at the Olive Branch Food Bank, and visiting residents of local nursing homes). Our goal as a youth group is to worship God as we serve those around us.
