D6 Family Ministries
At Cross Creek, we believe that the best ministry any kid can have starts at home. Unfortunately, many people rely on the church (Pastor, Youth Pastor, Sunday School teacher) to be the primary spiritual influence on their kids and teens. If those kids spend as much as 4 hours at church each week, what do you do with the other 164 hours? How do you fight against the other powerful influences that take place throughout the week?
We believe that God has called the family to be the primary vehicle to pass the love of God from generation to generation. As a church, we want to equip parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles, and the whole family to lead their family in following Christ.
What does D6 stand for?
The D6 program is a initiative started by Randall House Publications. D6 stands for Deuteronomy 6:5-7 which says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

Cross Creek’s Family Emphasis Curriculum
Part of the D6 program include a series of small group studies that we use in our Sunday Schools to help drive home the lessons being learned that week. Most of the lessons in our adult classes follow the same theme that our children and teen classes are learning that Sunday. This gives parents and families a focal point to discuss throughout the week.
